Kenyan Parliament Rekindles Merger Talks for Kenya Airways, Jomo Kenyatta In’l Airport, and KAA

The idea of consolidating Kenya's aviation assets has resurfaced in recent discussions, resulting in a new proposal for the creation of an Aviation Holding Company (AHC). The Kenyan Parliament is making another attempt to merge Kenya Airways (KQ), the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). According to an October 16, 2024 report by the Star Newspaper, the proposal includes forming an AHC to oversee the restructuring of the aviation sector.
