Ghana has introduced a new chip-embedded passport equipped with enhanced biometric capabilities, marking a significant step forward in the country’s commitment to innovation and global security standards. Officially launched on December 2, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre, the new passport features a microprocessor chip that securely stores the holder’s biometric and photo data, alongside robust anti-fraud measures to safeguard against identity theft.
