The African Airlines Association (AFRAA), which represents airlines across the continent, and the AviAssist Foundation, a leader in African aviation safety, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance aviation safety in Africa. The agreement was signed during the World Aviation Festival in Amsterdam on October 9, 2024, by Mr. Abderahmane Berthé, AFRAA Secretary General, and Mr. Christopher McGregor, ATR Flight Safety Officer and Board Chairman of AviAssist.The signing of this MoU materializes negotiations that began on March 10, 2023, during a previous meeting between the two.
