Windhoek selects “Namibia Air” as official name for its new national carrier
Namibia has taken a decisive step toward restoring a national airline. In an interview with local broadcaster OneAfrica on 12 November, Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi confirmed that Cabinet has approved the official name of the country’s future carrier: Namibia Air (Pty) Ltd. The company will be established under Namibian commercial law, with the state as its sole shareholder.
