UAE Restricts Airspace Access for Sudanese Airlines
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has imposed a
ban on Sudanese airlines from landing at its airports, deepening the diplomatic
rift between the two nations. The announcement was made by Sudan’s Civil
Aviation Authority (CAA) through the state-run Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on
August 6, 2025. The authority stated that it and the affected carriers were
surprised by this decision.
