Turkish Airlines Eyes Return to Libya
Following the civil unrest that ensued after the ousting of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, Turkish Airlines ceased its flights to Libya. Despite the country having since upgraded its airport infrastructure to international standards and even though Turkish airspace remains open for flights to and from Libya, the Turkish national carrier has yet to resume its operations.
