Suspended CEO of Congo Airways Raises Alarming Accusations Over Dash8-400 Auction
In a video released this week, José Dubier, the suspended CEO of Congo Airways since October, strongly responded to accusations of mismanagement. His primary defense focused on the recent auction of one of the airline’s two Bombardier Q400s, a 14-year-old aircraft sent for maintenance at Medavia in Malta in July 2023 before being sold at a fraction of its value. Dubier accused EU Wings, the Italian technical partner, of using dubious methods to seize the aircraft, while blaming the airline’s previous management for the situation.
