South Africa's Airlink Suspends Flights to Nampula in Mozambique as Court Threatens to Seize Aircraft

Airlink has suspended its operations in Nampula, Mozambique, effective January 7, 2024, in response to an interim court order from Mozambique to seize three of its aircraft. The legal dispute stems from a claim for damages by two Mozambican passengers - members of the powerful and well-known Gulamo family - who were removed from an Airlink flight in Johannesburg on December 7, 2024, for exhibiting unruly and threatening behavior.
