South African Airways CEO John Lamola Resigns

The chief executive of state-owned carrier South African Airways, John Lamola, will step down at the end of April 2026, the airline said on Friday following a board meeting.South Africa’s Transport Minister Barbara Creecy, acting as shareholder representative, together with the airline’s board, accepted Lamola’s resignation while commending his role in rebuilding the carrier after its emergence from business rescue.
