Newly established Somali carrier Rayaan Air is set to launch operations after its sole aircraft, a 35-year-old Fokker 50 turboprop, arrived in Mogadishu on Friday, marking the latest entrant into the Horn of Africa nation’s expanding but fragmented aviation market.
