Nigeria’s Max Air Hit with Three-Month Suspension Amid Technical and Financial Concerns
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced the suspension of Max Air's domestic flight operations, effective from midnight on Friday, January 31, 2025, for a period of three months. This decision, made public on Wednesday, comes just 24 hours after an incident involving the only active aircraft in Max Air’s fleet, a 27.2-year-old Boeing 737-400 (registration 5N-MBD). The plane suffered a tire burst during its landing at Mallam Aminu International Airport in Kano.
