Niger Advances on Two Fronts in Airline Development: National and Regional Projects Underway
On Saturday, February 1, 2025, Niger’s Minister of Transport and Equipment, Colonel-Major Salissou Mahaman Salissou, announced plans for a new national airline while also pushing forward the creation of a regional carrier under the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). Speaking on Niger’s state television, Télé Sahel, the minister outlined a dual strategy to enhance air connectivity both domestically and across the region.
