Namibia Seeks Ethiopia’s Expertise to Establish New National Airline
Namibia is moving forward with plans to establish a new national airline, separate from the defunct Air Namibia, with operations expected to begin between June and December 2026. On September 4, 2025, Namibia’s Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, met with Ethiopia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics, Alemu Sime, to discuss ways Ethiopia could support Namibia in building its national air transport network.
