Kenya Airways Reports USD 93.6 million Loss in H1 2025
Kenya Airways (KQ), the national carrier of Kenya, has reported a sharp
financial downturn for the first half of 2025, posting a net loss after tax of
KSh 12.15 billion (USD 93.6
million). This represents a major reversal from the same period in 2024, when
the airline recorded a net profit of KSh 513 million (USD 3.95 million). The
results, announced on August 26, 2025, highlight the operational and market
challenges stalling the airline’s recovery momentum.
