IATA Urges States to Adopt More Pragmatic Policies to Promote Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF)
It is widely acknowledged that SAF is the linchpin for decarbonizing aviation. While interest in these sustainable fuels continues to surge - with production set to triple in 2024 - the IATA observes that the current concrete plans in place, without strong support from governments, fall short of being sufficient to achieve carbon neutrality by the 2050 deadline.
