Growth : Africa to Double Passenger Numbers to 345 Million by 2043, IATA Predicts
The outlook for air traffic in the African
market is promising. By 2043, the number of airline passengers on the continent
will reach 345 million, more than double the traffic in 2023. These figures
were disclosed on Sunday, June 2, 2024 by Kamil Al-Awadhi, Vice President of
the International Air Transport Association (IATA), during a press briefing on
the sidelines of the organization's general assembly in Dubai.
