On Saturday, November 30, 2024, Tunisian Minister of Transport Rachid Amri conducted an inspection visit to Tunis-Carthage International Airport, addressing critical challenges impacting the safety and efficiency of this key infrastructure. Among the top priorities was the removal of around 15 grounded aircraft, including aging Airbus A319s and Boeing 737-600s—many over 20 years old—belonging to Tunisair.
