GE Aerospace to Power Ethiopian Airlines’ Upcoming 787-9 and 777-9 Jets

Ethiopian Airlines solidified its long-standing partnership with GE Aerospace
through agreements to power its new wide-body aircraft. The airline selected
GEnx-1B engines for 11 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and reaffirmed its commitment
to GE9X engines for eight Boeing 777-9s, with options for six additional
777-9s. These deals expand Ethiopian’s GEnx-powered fleet from 19 to 30
aircraft and include comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul services
for both engine types.
