Ethiopian Airlines Partners with GE Aerospace for GE9X Engines to power B777X fleet
GE Aerospace, a world-leading provider of
jet and turboprop engines, announced on March 6, 2024, that it has reached an
agreement with Ethiopian Airlines to supply 16 GE9X engines for the airline's
upcoming fleet of Boeing 777X aircraft. This significant milestone positions
Ethiopian Airlines as the first GE9X customer in Africa and the continent's
pioneer Boeing 777X customer.
