Egypt’s Red Sea Airlines Granted Approval for Regular Flights to Uzbekistan
On February 4, 2025, the Uzbekistan Civil Aviation Authority (UZCAA) announced that Egyptian carrier Red Sea Airlines had been granted permission to operate regular flights to Uzbekistan. This new approval allows the airline to connect the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh with Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. While UZCAA did not specify the frequency of these flights, the authorization was granted under the Air Services Agreement (BASA) between Uzbekistan and Egypt.
