Congo Airways suspends flights again, Kinshasa unveils comprehensive five-year recovery plan

Congo Airways has once again suspended its regular commercial flights. The airline informed its technical teams through a note seen by NewsAero. The lease contract for its only aircraft, a 31-year-old Boeing 737-300 (LZ-LVK, MSN 26573) has expired. The aircraft, leased from Bulgarian carrier ALK Airlines, was initially scheduled to return to Sofia, Bulgaria on Monday, July 22, 2024. However, complications related to the settlement of accounts between the two parties persist.
