Congo Airways Struggles to Regain $1.4 Million from Unfulfilled ACMI Deal with Jordan Aviation
Congo Airways, which has been grounded since mid-July, is urgently seeking government assistance to recover $1.4 million from Jordan Aviation for an ACMI lease agreement that has not been honored. CEO Commander Lueya Dubier has reached out to the Minister of the Portfolio, requesting the appointment of a cabinet representative to engage with Jordan Aviation in Amman, Jordan. In a letter read by NewsAero, Dubier outlined the predicament, stating that the funds were transferred on August 14, 2024, but Jordan Aviation failed to deliver an Airbus A320 as agreed, leaving the airline in a vulnerable position.
