 Congo Airways is facing a deepening financial and operational crisis. In a letter dated 30 October 2025 and addressed to the Minister of State Portfolio — which NewsAero has reviewed — representatives of the airline’s personnel request an immediate administrative and financial audit. The letter cites more than USD 80 million in accumulated debt, failed leasing attempts for aircraft intended to restore operations, and up to ten months of unpaid salaries affecting the workforce.
