Boeing Opens New Office in Addis Ababa, Its Second in Africa
Boeing officially inaugurated its Africa regional office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on April 22, 2025—marking a significant milestone after a one-year delay from its originally scheduled opening in October 2024. The office is led by Henok Teferra Shawl, Managing Director for Boeing Africa, and underscores Ethiopia’s strategic role as a leading aviation hub on the continent. It also deepens Boeing’s long-standing partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, its largest customer in Africa.
