Air Cairo Brings Back Veteran Chief Hussein Sherif to Steer Its Expansion Drive
Egypt’s leading low-cost carrier, Air Cairo, has appointed Mr. Hussein Sherif as its new Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, marking the return of a seasoned industry figure whose earlier leadership helped shape the airline’s most transformative years. He succeeds Captain Ahmed Shannan, who guided the company through a critical phase of operational stability following Sherif’s departure in March 2024.
