Air Algérie Unveils New Group Strategy with Tour Operator Launch and MRO Spin-Off
Algeria's national carrier, Air Algérie, is embarking on a significant strategic transformation, announcing plans to restructure itself into an aviation group or holding company. This move aims to bolster the performance of its activities and subsidiaries while leveraging the tax and operational advantages inherent in a holding structure, according to CEO Hamza Benhamouda in an interview with Algeria Press Service (APS) on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The core of the development plan involves the creation of several subsidiaries, notably a tour operator and the formal spin-off of its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division.
