Air Algérie Orders 16 ATR 72s for its New Domestic Subsidiary
Air Algérie has ordered 16 ATR 72-600 aircraft
for its new local subsidiary, Domestic Airlines, marking the largest ATR order in
Africa. Announced on July 4, 2025, the turboprops, powered by Pratt &
Whitney PW127XT engines, will enhance domestic connectivity, especially in
southern Algeria, with deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2028.
