Air Algérie Finalizes Tassili Airlines Takeover to Launch New Domestic Subsidiary
Air Algérie has officially absorbed Tassili Airlines, formerly a subsidiary of the state-owned oil and gas giant Sonatrach Holding Group. The transfer of ownership was finalized on June 19, 2025, through a memorandum of understanding signed in Algiers by Air Algérie CEO Hamza Benhamouda and Sonatrach Holding Group CEO Mohamed Tira, in the presence of Transport Minister Saïd Sayoud.
