South Africa Cancels $6.4 Million Airport Biometrics Contract with French IDEMIA
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has canceled the R115 million ($6.4 million) tender awarded in 2023 to IDEMIA for the implementation of a Biometric Movement Control System (BMCS) at nine major South African airports. The contract has been the subject of a dispute between the French company and its local South African partner.
