Somalia Unveils Plans for New Mogadishu International Airport
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud officially unveiled an ambitious development project named the "New Mogadishu Development Corporation." Speaking at a ceremony held at Mogadishu's Aden Adde International Airport, the President outlined the key aspects of this visionary initiative, which includes the construction of a new international airport. The first phase of the airport is set to be completed by 2026.
