Privatization of Cape Verde's CV Handling: Six Global Operators Advance to Next Round
The Cape Verdean Ministry of Finance and Business Development, through the State Business Monitoring Unit (UASE), announced the completion of the first phase of a limited competition with international advertising aimed at selecting a strategic partner to acquire up to 51% of CV Handling’s social capital. This initiative is part of Cape Verde's 2022-2026 agenda to promote good governance, transparency, and best practices while involving various stakeholders in the privatization, partial divestment, concession, and public-private partnership processes.Eight companies, hailing from Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Nigeria, Turkey, Spain, and Portugal, have submitted bids.
