Privatization : Egypt Considers Hassan Allam and Groupe ADP for Airport Management Partnership
As part of the airport privatization program announced in February 2024 and backed by the Bretton Woods institutions, the Egyptian government has begun discussions with the Egyptian-French consortium comprising Groupe ADP (Aéroports de Paris) and Hassan Allam Holding. During a high-level meeting held in Cairo on Sunday, December 1, 2024, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed the duo's proposals for managing and operating several international airports in the country. This initiative is part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to enhance airport operations through private sector involvement.
