Tanzania and Russia are currently in the final phases of negotiating an agreement to enable direct flights between the two nations, as conveyed by Frederick Ibrahim Kibuta, the Tanzanian ambassador to Russia, in statements to journalists reported by Sputnik on February 13, 2024. He made this known on the sidelines of the conference organized at the Saint Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the theme "Russia-Tanzania: mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities."
