Rwanda Becomes First African Nation to Conduct Air Taxi Test Flight
EHang Holdings Limited successfully completed a demonstration flight of
its pilotless air taxi EH216-S in Kigali, Rwanda, on Thursday, September 4,
2025, on the sidelines of the 9th edition of the Aviation Africa summit. This
marks the first-ever flight of the electric vertical takeoff and landing
(eVTOL) aircraft in Africa, showcasing the Chinese company's ambition to
conquer the continental market with its CAAC-certified (Civil Aviation
Administration of China) aircraft.
