Ghana to Reduce Passport Fees Amid Accessibility Reforms
Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced plans to lower the cost of the 32-page ordinary passport booklet from GHC500 (USD32) to GHC350 (USD22). The decision, revealed during a parliamentary session on March 13, 2025, is part of the government’s broader effort to make passports more affordable while maintaining high-security standards.
